Journal Overview

The Curette Infectious Diseases addresses infections in individuals, healthcare settings, and populations, linking pathogen science with diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and public-health response.

It supports responsible reporting of emerging threats while requiring proportionate claims and attention to biosafety and dual-use concerns.

Aims & Scope

The journal welcomes bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections; emerging infections; antimicrobial resistance and stewardship; microbiology; host–pathogen interactions; vaccines; therapeutics; and diagnostics.

Clinical studies, trials, genomic surveillance, outbreak investigations, infection prevention, healthcare-associated infection, epidemiology, and relevant immunology are in scope. Global-health work should describe context and limits on generalisability.

Readers include infectious-disease clinicians, microbiologists, infection-control teams, epidemiologists, pharmacists, immunologists, public-health practitioners, laboratory scientists, and trialists.

Scope boundary

Work with biosafety or dual-use implications requires adequate safety context. Local surveillance should not imply unsupported global conclusions.

For Authors

Before submission, confirm that the manuscript addresses this journal’s scope, uses an article type supported by current editorial policy, and includes complete authorship, funding, conflict, ethics, consent, data-availability, preprint, and AI disclosures where applicable.
