Open access concerns reader access and reuse; it does not bypass editorial assessment, single-blind peer review where applicable, research-ethics requirements, production checks, or responsibility for the scholarly record.

Authors retain copyright. The Version of Record is normally published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), permitting sharing, distribution, reuse, and adaptation with appropriate attribution.
Responsible Reuse and Attribution
Reuse should credit the authors, identify the source and Version of Record, provide the licence information, and indicate material changes where applicable. Open licensing does not permit false attribution, misleading presentation, or removal of notices needed to understand the integrity and provenance of the work.
Third-party Material and Exceptions
Third-party material may carry separate rights or restrictions. Authors remain responsible for permissions. Any legitimate article-specific exception to the normal licence will be explicitly identified with the article.
Publication Charges
There is no manuscript submission charge. An article processing charge becomes payable only after the applicable editorial process is complete and the manuscript is formally accepted. See Article Processing Charges.
