Prior Posting
Posting a legitimate preprint is not automatically treated as prior publication. Authors should disclose relevant details during submission. Prior formal publication of substantially the same work remains prohibited.
Editorial Evaluation
Preprinted manuscripts remain subject to normal editorial evaluation and single-blind peer review. Individual Curette journals may state additional restrictions for sensitive article types.
Clinical and Legal Responsibilities
Authors remain responsible for ethics, patient confidentiality, participant and publication consent, data protection, and legal restrictions. Sensitive clinical information must not be exposed merely because content is posted as a preprint.
After Publication
Authors are encouraged to update the preprint with a citation and link to the Version of Record where possible.
