Aims & Scope
The journal covers epidemiology, population health, surveillance, prevention, health promotion, environmental and occupational health, social determinants, disparities, policy, systems, implementation science, and global health. Infectious and noncommunicable disease epidemiology, screening, community interventions, and maternal and child population health are included.
Biostatistical or epidemiological methods should demonstrate practical health relevance. Digital public health, outcomes, and health economics are considered when addressing a defined population decision with attention to access, context, and equity.
Readers include epidemiologists, public-health practitioners, clinicians, statisticians, policy and health-system researchers, implementation scientists, and community-health professionals.
Scope boundary
Clinical studies without a population, prevention, policy, systems, or epidemiological contribution may fit another journal. Conclusions should stay within the population and setting studied.
