Journal Overview

The Curette brings together evidence that can inform medical understanding, clinical practice, prevention, education, and healthcare delivery. It serves clinicians, researchers, educators, public-health professionals, and readers working across conventional specialty boundaries.

The journal supports continuous publication within The Curette’s Gold Open Access programme. Its multidisciplinary remit is intended for work whose question, method, or implications benefit more than one clinical or scientific community.

Aims & Scope

The Curette aims to publish methodologically sound, ethically conducted work that advances clinical medicine or connects biomedical and population evidence with patient care. It welcomes original clinical and translational research, diagnostic and therapeutic studies, evidence syntheses, methods work, and carefully framed scholarship on healthcare delivery, implementation, quality, safety, and medical education.

Relevant work may address disease mechanisms with clear clinical significance, multimorbidity, prevention, clinical epidemiology, patient-centred outcomes, digital medicine, or interdisciplinary models of care. Quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, laboratory-to-clinic, and implementation approaches are considered when appropriate to the question.

The journal is intended for physician-researchers, allied health and biomedical researchers, educators, and health-system professionals. Article categories depend on current editorial policy; authors should choose the format that best communicates the work.

Scope boundary

Purely technical or laboratory work should demonstrate a credible connection to medicine or health. Work better served by a focused Curette specialty journal may be redirected with the author’s agreement.

For Authors

Before submission, confirm that the manuscript addresses this journal’s scope, uses an article type supported by current editorial policy, and includes complete authorship, funding, conflict, ethics, consent, data-availability, preprint, and AI disclosures where applicable.

Not every Curette journal necessarily considers every article type. The shared directory describes supported formats without creating unannounced word, figure, reference, or processing-time limits.
